Lake Lucerne

Lake Lucerne is surrounded by mountains. It covers more than 40 square miles and is 700 feet deep in places. The lake, mountains and quaint villages with cows & sheep grazing on the hills made Lake Lucerne our favorite place. The first 3 pictures are of Lucerne (also spelled Luzern). The Lion Monument was carved on a cliff in Lucerne.
The next 2 pictures are ferries followed by scullers (rowers). That might not mean anything to some but as a boater I was amazed. Here is huge body of water big enough for ships yet it was calm enough for sculling. The entire time we were on the water there never was any chop. The next picture is a statue of Christ blessing the lake.
The last 2 pictures are toys I found in town. This was a holiday weekend and gas is more than $10 a gallon yet we saw campers everywhere. In fact we saw several small cars pulling large camping trailers. It totally went against everything I have been taught about towing. Next to the camper is a Ferrari. I guess if you can afford the car you do not have to worry about the gas.
